Artist statement:
“In Between” is an artistic exploration of the state of always existing between two worlds, two languages,
two forms of expression, two choices. It is a story about living in transition — never fully on one side, never
entirely on the other — but constantly in the middle.
As a child, I attended two schools in parallel: a regular compulsory school and an art school, which shaped
my understanding of the world as multilayered and complex. That experience of dual paths has followed me
throughout my life and continues to inform my artistic practice today.
I speak several languages and move freely between them, just as I shift between different materials in my
artistic practice — from clay and textiles to metal, from painting to sculpture. In every choice I make as an
artist, I am drawn to duality: to seeing and expressing both/and rather than either/or.
“In Between” explores this through works that themselves embody contrasts: hard and soft, fleeting and
enduring, natural and processed. Through sculptural objects, installations, and experimental encounters
between materials, I invite the viewer to experience the borderland where different worlds coexist.
In all my exhibitions, I seek to open a space for reflection on questions of identity, belonging, and freedom
of choice. I want to explore the productive potential of being in between — of not having to choose a side or
a fixed position, but being allowed to live and create in movement, in transition, in the space in between.
